You hired floorwerx for the job, whats next?

Solid wood flooring requires an in-home acclimation period of 4-14 days. A 10’x10’ floor space is ideal to allow for stacking space. Other types can be delivered anytime before install. A job start/material payment will be due upon delivery.

Furniture needs to be clear of the work area. We offer appliance moving for a fee depending on job environment. We can provide an independent moving company referral or you can find your own for help clearing work areas.

We often start with tearout of existing flooring and removal of baseboard trim. Istallation requires pounding, sawing and nailing. We set up our saws outside your home whenever possible. You may come and go as needed.

Expect continuous run-time of vacuums and sanders. Use of 220 volt power will be necessary. We will have an on-site color sample meeting on your sanded floor. You may access your home as needed until late in the process.

We'll apply stain or sealer, followed by protective finish coats. Expect access until the last 2 days. Traffic HD finish allows for sock traffic 4 hours after job completion. Replace furnishings after 48 hours (no sliding), re-place rugs and dogs back on floors after 72 hours.

After completion, we meet and review our work. Doors may need rehung and flush-mount wood vents fitted. We provide a cleaning kit with care and maintenance direction and floor glides. A final payment is due and you’re ready to enjoy your new floors!
